Social Events
It is not all about running as there are various social events arranged throughout the year. Upcoming events should be listed on the home page or you can contact our Social Convenor for further details or if you would like to help or even suggest an idea.
London Marathon Entries
If you are interested in running the London Marathon but do not succeed at the ballot then don’t despair. Yet. Each year the Club receives 1 or 2 guaranteed places and our own ballot for those who failed through the main ballot takes place during Christmas and New Year.
Scottish Athletics Affiliation
Gala Harriers as a club are affiliated to Scottish Athletics Ltd (SAL). You can also affiliate as an individual which currently costs £13 per year.
Participation in the East District and National cross country races and other SAL organised events then you need to become a member as an individual. Becoming a member will then save you £2 on the entry fee to most SAL events.
