Well done to all the runners who competed for the Harriers over the last few months in the Border Cross Country Series. Some great individual and team results were achieved. Full details of placed runners and teams to follow.
The actual East of Scotland final will be Meadowbank, Edinburgh at 12.30 on Saturday the 27 January and there will be a coach leaving Gala going to the event but with pickups in Earlston and Lauder.
The training/selection days are Sundays - 14th and 21 January at the Queens Centre in Galashiels. From 12.15 till 4.00 on the 14th for the main selection day and 12.15 to 1.45 on the 21st for the selected team.

The club have one remaining guaranteed entry left for the London Marathon in April. Normally, this place is only offered to members who have applied through the ballot and been rejected but this time the opportunity is open to everyone.
If you are interested contact Eileen Nicol as soon as possible on 01896 758414. Please note the £26 entry fee still applies.
For those who have not been accepted through the ballot, all hope is not lost. You can still get a place through one of the three official charities or affiliated charities. Places are also available via running clubs and tour operators.

There was an excellent turnout of harriers at the clubs AGM on Tuesday night, where club president Karen Renton welcomed everyone to the meeting and congratulated the club on another very successful season, one which the club has continued to grow in numbers and ambition. (more…)
