Would be great to see some new faces at the xc races this year. I’m not sure if people realise these events attract all standards of athletes. It’s also not just an individual race but also a chance to be involved in the team aspect of athletics. Last year the ladies failed to get a team together for some events which going by the roster of athletes available is pretty poor. Same with the men we shouldn’t have relay teams with only one or two runners lets fill all the spots! It is an excellent opportunity to ‘get to know’ your fellow club members. Meet rivals from other clubs and see some of the country.

Gala also has a fine tradition in xc running so come along and be part of that tradition. Spending a rainy November day in Livingston may not sound like much fun…but believe me it is! So when the winter arrives drop the road shoes pick up the spikes and get wet, muddy and exhilarated!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi my daughter Becki Couch became a member about 6weeks ago, she is going to do the x country seasons, and the first event is Stirling on the 15th October, will she receive her free kit before then? if not could you let me know if I need to buy her kit. Also her running partner Cameron Burnett is doing the same race and I am told by his Grandpa that he has not received his either.

Becki is a size small (she is 15yrs old)
Cameron I am told is a small man.

We would greatly appreciate it if you could let us know what we need to do, as this is my daughters first season.

    Many thanks
