Message from Captains: Club Vests
August 10th, 2011As we approach the glorious x country season, we would like members of all abilities to participate in as many races as possible. When participating in races, please ensure you wear the Harriers vest both to show your support for the club and to avoid possible disqualification from Scottish Athletics races.
For advice or queries see Rachel or Derrick.

Hi I have just filled in the membership form for my daughter Becki Couch. Becki trains with Henry Gray and Henry would like to put her down for the cross country series, she is 15years old and will be 16 in January, could you advise me about what would be the best kit for her to wear and are these cross country events suitable for her?
Many thanks

DARREN BOGGS deserves a special mention for his participation in the Hawick Fun Run – I do apologise Darren as I omitted to include your name in the recent race report. Well done on your 20th position in 19.28, beating a whole lot of Teviotdale runners!! Rosi C, Gala Harriers Press Officer
Rosi Capper Says:
Hi Debbie – Becki should certainly be up to competing in the Winter Cross Country series if she’s one of Henry’s. As a member she should have a Gala Harriers vest which we will provide if she wants to represent the club and she’ll need a long sleeved thermal or drifit top underneath it for those colder days. We have a selection of crops and track bottoms which she might be interested in and black Harriers hats and gloves. All the kit is held at Tweedbank track so I can look some out for you the next time I’m there if you wish. Just let me know. Rosi C
Debbie Couch Says:
hi Rosi,
did you manage to find any kit, that Becki would benefit from? She is doing Stirling X Country next weekend.
Debbie
Rosi Capper Says:
Hi Debbie – does Becki ever go to Tweedbank on Tuesdays or Thursdays? If not could you email me your address and I will send you a vest for her and Cameron but the other items should perhaps be tried on before you buy! rosi@westruther.com
