Due to the adverse weather conditions the Borders X/C leg scheduled to take place at Galashiels on Sunday 28th November 2010 has been cancelled. Alternative date will be announced in due course.
The cross country season continues as conditions close in but just as Scotland’s rugby squad thrived in whatever the November weather threw at them, so too did Gala Harriers at the East District league 2nd leg in Broxburn on Saturday. (more…)

RACE DATES
There are 7 races in the 2010/2011 series.
Dates and venues are:
28th November @ Galashiels
12th December @ Lauder
19th December @ Peebles
9th January @ Paxton
23rd January @ Berwick
6th February @ Norham
27th February @ Dunbar (prize-giving at Hallhill Healthy Living Centre).
The organisers are still awaiting exact confirmation of venues from the organisers.
However, the first race at Gala will meet near the swimming pool at Livingstone Place, Galashiels.
Junior races start at 11:30 and senior races start at 12:00. Please arrive in plenty of time before the first event for registration.
Two weekends of local successes and high turnouts for Gala Harriers bode well for the winter ahead as the cross country athletics season kicks in. (more…)

Gala Harrier’s was awarded Scottish Athletics Clubmark on Wednesday 3rd November 2010 which signifies that the club is a safe, effective and child-friendly athletics club.

This will take place on Saturday 6th November 2010. X/C Championship starts at 2PM from the Hollybush this year and finishes at Boleside.
