Next Hill Run: Sat 23rd May
May 22nd, 2009The next hill run is planned for this Sat 23rd May, and is due to be a recce of the route for the Yetholm hill race (run on 7th June).
This is a fantastic route whether or not you plan on doing the race, and there are several good options for those wanting to cut things short. Limpers, Kelso Crawlers, Norhamites, and anyone else who fancies a social run is welcome to come along.
Meet 9am at Gala swimming pool to share lifts, or 9.45am approx at the car parking area at Halterburn approx 1 mile south-east of Kirk Yetholm on the Pennine Way. To get there, go around Kelso on the new bridge, and at the top of the hill follow signs to Yetholm. In Town Yetholm turn left to Kirk Yetholm, and then just before the village green in Kirk Yetholm, turn right up the hill. The road rises and then drops steeply before going over a cattle grid, after which the car parking area is on the left.
