The 26.2 miles of the marathon distance is surely the most gruelling of athletic events but in the capital on Sunday, several Gala Harriers took it in their stride, at the same time as the junior girls’ squad were competing at Meadowbank in the HASL Lothian & Borders League over slightly shorter distances on the track. The annual club 10K handicap race to take place on Sunday 11th May at 2PM. All Gala Harriers are welcome and encouraged to participate. Same rules apply, £1 entry, prizes only awarded to current members and strat at Galashiels academy.
Prize giving at social event to be arranged afterwards with details to follow.
