The Gala Harriers, along with some of Scotland’s top young athletes and coaches, were also given a tour of the impressive sports facilities at the University, where they watched athletes using the most up to date sports technology.

The Bank of Scotland Talented Young Athlete Programme provides over 170 athletes per year with substantial support and training. Since 1999, the success rate has been outstanding with over 250 medals at British, Commonwealth and European levels. Team members past and present include Morag MacLarty, Gillian Cooke and Chris Baillie.
