The Harriers have a proud history of taking part in this marathon relay having won top prizes in the past two events.
If you are interested in taking part this year please make your interest known to a committee member or e-mail me through the website by Thursday 4 May.

The London marathon has traditionally attracted a large number of Gala Harriers to take on the demanding 26.2 mile race around the Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge, Canary Warf, Buckingham Palace and the Mall but injuries have taken a heavy toll this year, with only Margot Crosbie and Eileen Nicol making it to the start line. Gala Harriers had five teams in Livingston taking part in the National 6 and 4 Stage Road Relays on Saturday the 1st of April.
The ladies ‘A’ team of Fiona Dalgleish, Dianne Lauder, Gillian Duncan and Karen Haldane ran well to finish 12th in a combined time of 2.01.12, with the ‘B’ team of Karen Renton, Caroline McDermott, Eileen Nicol and Julie Anderson finishing 27th from the 34 teams that started, in a time of 2.22.47.
