Harriers Lay Siege To Thirlestane

October 8th, 2005

There was a big turnout for the Thirlestane Castle Run at Lauder on Sunday, with 140 juniors and 160 seniors running on the day. Gala Harriers had a very healthy representation in both races, which saw Alice Haining taking the girls title and Gillian Inglis take second placed girl.

John Borthwick ran well to finish third, while Dianne Lauder continues her fine form in winning the ladies title, with Leanne Haining taking the first female veterans trophy.

The men won the team prize thanks to some strong running from John Borthwick (3rd), Struan King (9th), Tony Lunn (10th) and Graeme Murdoch (13th).
