Gala Harriers Join In With a Braw Day at the Sports

Gala Harriers hosted their 10 km road race and fun run on Sunday, as part of the Braw Lads Sports on Sunday. Despite high temperatures there was a good field of runners at the start of the race, with over 130 lining up ready for the gun to go. (more…)

800m Tweedbank Track Races

On Thursday evening at the Tweedbank track the harriers held their 800 metre track races for all age groups. The races were well supported and some excellent times recorded by both junior and senior athletes. (more…)

Jardine Claims His First Eildon Hill Victory

Saturday saw the running of the Eildon Two Hills race in Melrose. The weather was perfect for spectators and marshals, with bright warm sunshine and little or no wind. However the 42 runners found it a bit tougher and would have quite liked a bit of rain to cool them down as they made their way through the town and up onto the Eildons. (more…)

Gala and Lauder Have a Festival at Edinburgh Marathon

Tweedbank Returns To Earlier Times

Despite it being a cold and windy Thursday evening, a great competition went ahead at Tweedbank athletics track with over 150 young athletes taking part in Javelin, sprint relays, long jump and middle distance races. There were some great races and performances from members of the three competing clubs - Gala Harriers, Lauderdale Limpers and Greenlaw. (more…)
