Gala Harriers Henderson Trophy Produces Another Tight Finish
September 4th, 2004 Gala Harriers held their annual Henderson race on Saturday and there was another excellent turnout, with 32 harriers lining up at the Tweedbank track for the start of the mile race. t was discovered that the Henderson Trophy was again to be shared between two runners.
David Hunter and Mike Young both scored 7 points with David finishing 5th in the XC and 2nd in the mile and Mike coming 4th in the XC and 3rd in the mile.
There was even a tie for third spot and with the 3rd prize bottle of wine being shared between Graeme Jones and Mark Bryson, both declined the offer of a race off to decide who would get the vino.
