Moray Running Festival
August 29th, 2004Taking on a slightly tougher task than the Hawick 10K was Martin Clarke and David Hunter, who travelled up to Elgin to take part in the Moray Running Festival. Martin has been struggling with injury recently but he was determined to run in the marathon, which he completed in 3.20.10. This is slower than his usual efforts but given the strong wind and a killer mile long climb two miles from the end, he was quite satisfied.
David Hunter was keen to go under 90 minutes in the half marathon but a fast start and that same finishing hill put paid to his ambitions and he had to be content with a 1.34.28 finish.
