Grangemouth Junior Scottish Championships
August 28th, 2004Laura Goodson competing in her first Scottish championship at Grangemouth in the U13 800m race managed to take an impressive 6 seconds off her personal best to finish in 3rd spot. Running against much more experienced athletes in the 3rd heat she showed good tactical awareness by passing several runners on the second lap. Unfortunately Laura was the third fastest of the losers and missed out on a place in the final by just one position. With some more training and experience she should compete well in the up and coming cross-country season.
