Club captain Ron Logan likes to take on a challenge and faced his toughest ever last week in the Himalayan foothills of India. Ron was one of the 48 multi-national competitors who lined up at the start of the Himalayan 100-Mile Challenge. The race is run over five days and takes the runners up too 12,000 feet in the foothills of the famous mountain range, with legs varying in distance between 25 and 16 miles and climbs and descents of 5,000 and 6,000 feet. Ron’s tough training over the past few months paid off and he finished a brilliant 3rd overall, even winning the last leg of the race. Everyone in the harriers would like to congratulate Ron on this fantastic achievement.
